I was lonely because, even when he was beside me, I still felt unseen.
And for the first time in four years, I stopped asking, “When will he choose me?”
I asked myself instead,
“When will I finally choose myself?”
Four years into our marriage, I had everything people thought a woman could want. My husband had money, a beautiful house, cars, and a comfortable life.
But there was one thing I could never understand.
The only time my husband ever showed me romantic or intimate attention…
more than any answer could have.
I packed nothing that night. I didn’t leave the house. I simply walked into our bedroom and sat alone, staring at the life we had built.
Then I finally understood the deepest pain of all:
I wasn’t lonely because my husband wasn’t beside me.
@PoliceNG is this not assault or harassment?? I’m not too familiar with law terms but I best believe this should be a crime under law. Can they be arrested and charged as due, if I’m right??
