Physical AI has a data problem.

LLMs had the entire internet to learn from, Robots don’t have that luxury.
Robot data is expensive to collect, scattered across different hardware, and often limited to controlled lab environments.

That’s the problem @axisrobotics is tackling with its Compounding Data Engine, turning every task, demonstration, and even failure into valuable training data.

The goal is simple: every interaction makes the next generation of robots smarter, that compounding loop could be one of the biggest unlocks for physical AI.

Here’s how it works:
Task Generation Engine: Creates
huge amounts of diverse tasks across robots, objects, environments, and visuals.

Sim Data Collection: A browser-based, human-in-the-loop platform that lets people generate simulation data at scale.

Mobile Egocentric App: Makes real-world data capture almost frictionless, using real-time hand-pose tracking to turn human actions into robot-ready data.

Data Processing Pipeline: Cleans, annotates, and structures everything into training-ready datasets.

And the interesting part is the loop:

More data → better models → more failures discovered → new targeted tasks → even more data.

Today, the network has 100,000+ contributors, generating 1,200+ hours of sim data and 20,000+ hours of real-world data every month.

The goal is pretty simple: Many robots. Many data sources. Axis is already working with teams including StepFun, Booster Robotics, Geely, and Lotus. Physical AI needs its own internet-scale data flywheel.

It's different, unique, and as the world moves closer to AI, robots gain more advancement.
