Tehya and I just made a kind of pilgrimage to 3 of the Black Hills' sacred landmarks: Black Elk Peak, Bear Butte, and Devils Tower. We climbed the Peak and the Butte and walked around the Tower a couple of times. The special energy of these beautiful places was palpable.

The moral authority required to constrain antiracism’s illiberal zeal is held primarily by progressives who share woke concerns about equality and justice, but who can see that abandoning liberal values in the name of racial equality results in more injustice, not less.
The newly emerging perspective of cultural intelligence is “post-progressive” because, while it affirms progressive values, it also recognizes the legitimacy and ongoing necessity of modernist values and traditional values as well.
Consciousness is not only our interface with ourselves and others, consciousness is also our interface with the infinite, giving us direct access to authentic spiritual experience.
Where these virtues have been nurtured by strong social norms, it seems to have made a difference in the quality of life enjoyed by these “virtue cultures.”
Once we face the fact that human nature can and does evolve, this points to the exciting prospect of actively working to improve the human condition by encouraging and persuading humans to evolve their consciousness.
Evolutionary psychology and developmental psychology are each touching on “different parts of the elephant.” If we understand this “elephant” as human nature overall, then we can reasonably conclude that human nature, broadly conceived, can indeed evolve.
Here is my reflection on the campus protests, observing the interplay between the protestors' mixed motivations, which include both worldcentric morality and ethnocentric morality.
