@lgbtanime They’re probably doing a type of translation where ideally you should be able to read smth without having any prior knowledge of the original culture that the work was written in. don’t know why they’ve chosen to do that tho when it’s so easy to add translation notes in webtoons
@redder_planet@luxthefather Usually the trolley problem is just the starting point and you then modify it slightly to see if people’s opinions would change
@v0idthing Honestly I pretty much give kudos to any fic I read unless it was really bad, so I don’t necessarily consider the fics with the most kudos to be the best written but rather just the most popular for whatever reason
@dadachoisan_8 I think it’s just engagement bait, especially since they added Sakura because pretty much all the discussion surrounding her has been her name
@Kai_chan000@magswrite Because that’s when the original sukuna legend lived, but that doesn’t really matter because jjk says he was from the heian period
@magswrite They’re way too fixated on the original myth of sukuna instead of the jjk sukuna, which is ridiculous because the manga specifically changed when sukuna lived from the kofun era to the heian era. Anyway this person is so rude even beyond the history nitpicking
@Austallan@longlivedwaste@fakehistoryhunt Just to be slightly nitpicky, but in Denmark the Bronze Age ends at about 500BC, tho those helmets are from 800-1000BC, so nonetheless they’re far from the Viking age
@kookmyikigai I don’t really know much about it, but it seems like the characters have already been paired up by canon and if you deviate from those pairings at all, you’re fandom enemy no 1
@minniexskirt Correct me if I’m wrong, but I can’t really think of a recent girl group song where the premise was “being the better bitch” aka “pick me over this other girl”
@jeanxvaljean Tbf not all of the Chinese population was restricted by the one child policy, certain minority groups and rural populations weren’t subject to it
@Tara_B0 It’s quite common in BL manga that they each have their own room. For one thing, it is a way for gay couple’s to remain in the closet in case they bring people over that can’t know they’re a couple, but it is also pretty common for straight couples to sleep separately in Japan
