The problem with some vegetarians in India is the belief that their food choices somehow make them morally superior to others. I have news for them: what you eat does not determine how you think—or the kind of human being you are. Character is earned, not thrust upon others.

Life is like a night that is quietly passing away.
The fourth watch reminds us that the time of departure eventually comes. So do not keep postponing the remembrance and service of the Divine.
Serve the True Guru. Remember the Lord moment by moment. Let devotion become the way you live -not something you leave for the end.
A life spent in devotion is a life made fruitful.

Here’s my healthy festive entry for the Ganesh Chaturthi challenge!
Sattu, Khus Khus & Mixed Seeds Laddus, made with roasted chana flour, khus khus, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and melon seeds.
They’re simple, festive and packed with the goodness of seeds and sattu, while still being a delicious part of your festive plate.
Sattu, Khus Khus & Mixed Seeds Laddu
Makes 10–12 laddus
Ingredients:
• 1 cup sattu (roasted chana flour)
• ¼ cup khus khus
• ½ cup mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower & melon)
• ½ cup ghee
• ½–¾ cup powdered shakkar, according to taste
• ½ tsp cardamom powder
Method:
1. Dry roast khus khus for 2–3 minutes on low heat. Remove.
2. Lightly dry roast the mixed seeds and allow them to cool.
3. Coarsely grind the khus khus and seeds.
4. Heat ghee and roast the sattu on low flame for 4–5 minutes until aromatic. Don’t let it brown too much.
5. Add the ground khus khus and seeds and mix for another 1–2 minutes.
6. Switch off the flame and allow the mixture to become warm.
7. Add powdered shakkar and cardamom powder. Mix well.
8. Add a little more ghee if required and shape into laddus.
