I paid 10k for a wood privacy fence around my property. Tonight, I discovered that the 70 yr old libtard woman behind me DRILLED HOLES in 4 of my fence posts so she could put up hanging solar lights. NEVER ONCE asked me if she could.
We aren't friends. I've met her one time in the 7 years I've lived here.
I drove around the block to her house to confront her and asked her what in the hell gives her the right to deface my property. She says "was that not okay?". She then had the audacity to accuse me of being unkind to my elders. She didn't think she had to ask because she gave permission for my workers to be in her yard during install and plus the lights make her yard look pretty so why do I care. 😳😳😳😳

She's built like a linebacker. Trust me, it was no problem for her to do that work. And I don't want to get to know her. Judging from the leftover paid protester signs and Biden/Harris posters that she places all over her front yard AND the fact that I weigh a buck twenty soaking wet, getting to know her is the last thing I'm gonna be interested in doing. All she needs to do is keep her grubby hands to herself and leave my shit alone.

@lakes12341 I can't. The 3ft is a city ordinance where I live. The property line hasn't changed. But any residential fence has to be 3ft away and fully inside the owner's property. It's a stupid law, but I am a rule follower so I had no choice.

@jdberlat @barbbq Last night I thought they were nails but it was dark. This morning I checked it out and discovered they were screws. It's multiple holes in my fence posts and that's all I care about. There's no difference except for the size. The screws are bigger.

The whole point of this entire deal is that it's not ok to touch another person's personal property without asking.

@Geauxmandy @barbbq City ordinance for residential fences is a required 3ft easement. I did not put that into my original post. Didn't think I had to because I paid for the fence and therefore it would never be community property.

@TheColossis @KerrGordon Because the city requires a 3ft easement for residential fences. The owner of the fence must maintain the grass in that 3 ft area, which I do.
