@mehdirhasan Trump claimed that the unemployment numbers were meaningless (which they are) until he was elected. Unemployment numbers do not reflect job quality, wage gains, part, full time or temporary/contractor status. They are a useless measure of the economy.
@TeamPelosi Oh, we’re back to defending the social programs passed 60 years ago instead of instituting new ones to deal with today’s crisis. That playbook is getting pretty raggedy.
@ChadLivengood@JocelynBenson@freep Agreed. However, what does the victim’s driving record have to do with being shot in the back of the head? Last I checked it was possible to revoke the license of a chronic offender rather than execute them.
@MalloryMcMorrow I know Michigan needs young workers. But business leaders have consistently fought raising the minimum wage (which is laughably low in MI), public transit, affordable housing, the formation of unions, etc. They aren’t willing to do what it would take to attract young people.
@MalloryMcMorrow The last people I would listen to about what Michigan-needs to attract citizens is a business leader. Why doesn’t anyone ask all the young people who cannot get out fast enough where they are going and why?
@santiagomayer_ Because it’s the absolute basest most rock bottom action that could be taken for people who should never have to depend on a private companies arbitrary score for any essential need, ever.
@WalshFreedom This is why they’ll lose. Record inflation, wages that haven’t kept pace with inflation for decades, sky rocketing rent and housing prices, the most expensive healthcare in the world and people like you insisting that Americans must be in debt for getting an education
@CraigDMauger I worked the elections for many years. Never again. It’s a 15-16 hr day for a couple hundred bucks. Not worth being harassed, threatened and denigrated by people who won previous elections conducted exactly the same way as the last that they suddenly claim is ‘fraudulent.’
@Cup_of_Snarky @DanPriceSeattle Wait until you see what paying off your mortgage does to your credit score. The most bass akwards system of defining a person’s ability to pay back a loan ever.
