@rnnto_@dihydroxyestra I have to say (and I have 0 evidence as much as it's just a hunch), I do wonder if Apple actually made the apps? I have a sneaking suspicion that it may have been made internally at Microsoft in collaboration with Apple (similar how they used to make apps for Windows Phone).
@getpeid A clean, good looking, fast weather app. For the most part, we either need to rely on half baked built in apps are missing lots of useful data, or presented via a web view which are slow and lack design cohesion. This forces many to use free, ad infested apps.
@jackofallgames7 I understand what you are saying, and while it could be that it's running out of Ram (due to bloat or not) and it could be that the Mac only avoids this issue because of the swap being soldered or the benefits of in terms of responsiveness due to the SoC architecture.
@jauneclaude This just sounds disingenuous. By that reason, it could also take 1 year to open because the probability lies between 0 and 1. It's just conjector with 0 evidence supporting your 1 second claim other than 'its possible'.
@nucknyan I cannot believe the amount of people who are jumping to Microsoft because of this false narrative that FPS is in some way related to running a new application. Thank you for actually explaining it!
@achok1462860@nucknyan I would suspect that might be so that you can still launch certain applications if Explorer cannot launch or runa into issues. I think the current run dialog is also not a part of Explorer, but I am not certain.
@jackofallgames7 Fwiw, you are not wrong when you say Windows has too much bloat right now. It does, Microsoft says they plan on addressing this soon. But your initial comparison to a Macbook Neo is ludicrous given the article is most centered around games and gamers, which the Macbook neo isn't.
