City bidding £120mil for a player Newcastle had to sell to comply with FFP while still having not had a single punishment for 115 charges. On the day Everton are punished yet again for one overpayment that only occurred because of the War in Ukraine. Football has become a farce
If you've ever wondered why Wolves are obsessed with Portuguese players and coaches, let me quickly tell you.
The club is owned by a Chinese company. This company is also a minority shareholder in Jorge Mendes' agency, Gestifute.
We all know Jorge Mendes (JM) is Portuguese. Its not a coincidence that this new coach, Cesar Peixoto is managed by Gestifute.
This chinese company bought ownership at Gestifute around the same time they bought Wolves, everything was strategic.
Now, guess one of the first coaches they appointed? Yes, Nuno Espírito Santo, who is managed by Jorge Mendes.
They went on to sign many Portuguese players like Rúben Neves, João Moutinho, Diogo Jota, Pedro Neto, Rui Patricio, Hélder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro, Roderick Miranda, Daniel Podence. Guess what is common amongst them?
Yes, Jorge Mendes managed all of them.
Nothing happens by mistake in football haha.
When Russia hosted the World Cup in 2018, it had to suspend normal visa rules for the tournament. Foreigners with tickets could enter visa-free, using a scheme called ‘Fan ID.’
Russia also had to do weird stuff to keep FIFA’s sponsors happy. For example, small shops near Fan Zones and stadiums could only sell Budweiser beer on match days.
So yes, FIFA absolutely does dictate conditions to host governments when it suits FIFA. Infantino pretending otherwise is nonsense.
