@xwanyex When California enacted statewide rent increase caps, it just operated as a legal price fixing guideline for landlords. They all make the max rent increases every year now, no fear of being undercut by other landlords. It’s absolutely perverse.
@anacharsis@Ecclesiasticu12 He had enough vaguely gross stuff that the Democrats could make it stick sufficiently to remove him. My conspiracy theory is that they were going to do this all along: get him past the primaries then force him out and insert a candidate of their choosing regardless of voters.
@TheCalvinCooli1 Didn’t he already win his primary? I’m beginning to wonder if a Democratic strategy is to run candidates they already have dirt on, then after they win the primary vote, release the dirt, force him out, and replace him with the candidate the party wanted to run all along.
@bumbadum14 But when he is etching a moral theology around a misunderstanding of economics, a lot of Catholics are going to interpret it as a universal truth. The not so subtle suggestion that the west is the cause of world poverty is the backbone of his message here.
@RepDonBacon@M_91_30_LLC This entire group is an obvious op. Whenever you see them know it’s Democrats and paid actors and stop looking terminally gullible.
@EWTNews Why don’t you believe they have the same worth in their home countries? Why do they need to be in the west before you think their human worth has been recognized? You sound like a bigot about their home countries.
@TheRealJamieKay Yeah, we just want to apply the laws to them like everyone else, that is perfectly consistent with Leviticus and other places this commandment appears.
