✈️ Aircraft Engine Exhaust Options
1️⃣Convergent nozzle: Common on subsonic turbojets/turbofans; accelerates exhaust flow.
2️⃣Convergent-divergent (C-D) nozzle: Used where supersonic exhaust performance is needed, especially military engines.
3️⃣Fixed-area nozzle: Simple, lightweight design with a fixed exhaust area.
4️⃣Variable-area nozzle: Changes exhaust area depending on engine operating conditions; common on afterburning engines.
5️⃣Separate-flow nozzle: Bypass air and core exhaust leave through separate streams.
6️⃣Mixed-flow nozzle: Core and bypass flows are mixed before exiting through a common nozzle.
7️⃣Chevron nozzle: Serrated nozzle edges designed primarily to reduce jet noise.
8️⃣Vectoring nozzle: Can redirect thrust, enabling enhanced maneuverability or STOVL capability.
Which one is your favourite?🤔✈️

A rather rare album of nearly 100 pages from the USSR Ministry of Aviation Industry, dedicated to the NK-33 (11D111) rocket engine.
It contains diagrams, technical drawings, electrical schematics, and, of course, photographs.
