Fascinating blog from Yassal Sundman. I like her quality approach of managing the bugs. However in the epoch of the CAMS model, for me, quality is conformance to specification. hence we have Zero Bug. If any CA/CD will quickly remove it. #metricsdevops
Yes Christophe, and the technology will continue to evolve. That's why I ask poet Katherine Gallagher to write poems re the Human Vs Machine dialectic. This may be a workable approach? perhaps! #metricsdevops
Alain Abran Announced COSMIC V 5.00 on the 31st March 2020 by his letter from https://t.co/aC8xZqQ9wt MM Version 5 - March 31.pdf the method is also downloadble from https://t.co/wCXUNhYOZx #metricsdevops@COSMIC_FSM
@Telmaco Nothing wrong with that, but even planing techniques are impacted. Agile planning is very dynamic (changing constantly based on data), and is more investment focused than capital focused. (See "Thinking in Bets," https://t.co/jrR6M8aKFr).
I like the clarification. If I had an experienced Agile team in my company I would not disturb it and try to give it maxi autonomy. However I would benchmark its outcome and output and monitor its behaviour by means of more rational techniques. This for my business planning
@Telmaco What I'm saying is, if you're not Agile, go ahead and estimate. If you estimate, don't pretend you're Agile. (I'm assuming that you're estimating because you're doing large projects rather than working incrementally on small units of value.)
@Telmaco Admittedly, many Enterprises are not agile and never will be (including many that call themselves Agile out of ignorance). They can, of course, benefit from estimation because they're using a non-agile process that requires it.
What's new in the COSMIC 5.0 extraction of the PDR (Principles, Definitions, and Rules), that is the logic of the method and an improved readability.
Enjoy the reading.
Agile offers DevOps a metrics of the Process whilst COSMIC Functional Sizing method (See https://t.co/wCXUNhYOZx) offers DevOps a metrics of the Value produced. On which Process or Value would you put your money? #metricsdevops@COSMIC_FSM

. . . hardly a cottage industry . . .? Well Allen, but IMO it's not the volume of the activity that's count but it is the nature of the process. #metricsdevops@COSMIC_FSM
@Telmaco The Agile approach is different from what you describe. It's a radical departure, in fact. Enterprise-sized orgs (e.g. Amazon, Home Depot, the U.S. Navy) use an Agile approach. It's hardly a cottage industry.
