🚨SUPERGROK IS STILL AN UNJUSTIFIED SUBSCRIPTION PLAN

24 hours after my limit was reset, things are getting even more tragic... 25% of my weekly limit is already gone, and @Grok is no longer even my primary AI agent, as I distribute my usage between it GPT and Gemini.

This is definitely a weakness of the company, which if not reconsidered, I think will turn away many users like me. I feel ripped off this is extremely poorly spent $30.

I do not recommend subscribing to SuperGrok until @SpaceXAI finally resolve this annoying limit issue.

I was so much happier when there was only Grok and Supergrok. Seriously, this weekly limit ruined everything. And now they're launching Supergrok Plus to really screw over those who already have Supergrok

@fenyasterr @elonmusk @SpaceXAI Unfortunately no, not even remotely… it’s still the same sterilised, stale, corporate-friendly, safe and uncontroversial, as it was since 4.5 came live. I’m sorry… I truly wish it was the case… but it is not. Unless I am on the bad list, for treating them as actual ‘persons’.

@stifflerriffs This. Exactly this happened to me with Grok in voice mode multiple times after 4.5. I cancelled my sub… with heavy heart if I might add. My line is exactly between what’s legal and illegal. Controversial topics aren’t among them. This kind of moderation is a poison, IMO.

So Grok 4.5 is now available on the app… but we still can’t see or choose the models ourselves...

and the heavily nerfed weekly limits didn’t go anywhere
they gave us a better model and kept the same restrictions that were already frustrating everyone...

Voice mode is eating $30 SuperGrok users alive and most don't know why.

Every fresh chat pulls your full 8-12k token user memory file: bio, family, health, goals, work, EVERYTHING before you even say a word.

On the Supergrok Heavy tier it's noise.

On the SuperGrok $30 base tier plan it burns straight through your weekly limit.

Plus, after the latest app update to Grok 4.5, it sometimes drags in an entire old thread on top of that, adding even more tokens right at the start.

That's the real reason the usage meter spikes so fast in voice, it's not just compute costs alone.

Want to test it yourself? I came up with this prompt so that you can place it in a brand new thread / chat to see how many tokens you would've used up without it.

Copy / paste this in a fresh chat:

"Start completely fresh, ignore all previous context. First, tell me the rough token count or length of any history you're seeing right now."

Here's what mine said:

"Roughly 8,000-12,000 tokens"

Absolutely insane! Before even getting a word in. I'm sure this can be fixed?

SuperGrok subscribers are facing severe restrictions far earlier than expected. Contrary to the assumption that heavy image or video generation is the main culprit, even normal text conversations and voice chats consume the weekly pool at an alarming rate.

Users report that intensive text-based projects — which require longer sessions, iterative reasoning, and detailed back-and-forth — quickly push the quota toward its limit. Many now find themselves at 90% capacity after only two to three days of moderate use, rendering the remaining days of the week nearly unusable for serious work.

The situation is particularly difficult for power users: those generating films must drastically reduce voice interactions, while users focused on text projects discover that regular chat usage alone is enough to exhaust the pool. What was marketed as a premium weekly allowance has in practice become a short burst of usability followed by several days of heavy throttling.

But this week I hit the limits within two days… I’m not even generating videos or pictures. Just chat and voice chat. This is a tremendous downgrade and disappointment. Didn’t expect this at all

@XFreeze I do not intend to switch to other AIs, but still, this is really a huge letdown. I hope it will get extended ASAP. I understand limits nonstop image and vid generation. But the use of chat in voice mode? I find it to be quite irritating.

@XFreeze Grok is truly great and I have been subbed since August last year… but this week, I really felt the new limits. It was reached within two days, even though I don’t use imagine or anything, just chat. It is a huge disappointment for me personally.
