I commend all our patriotic front-line soldiers in the fight against terrorism in all forms.
You stand as a shield between innocent citizens and those who seek to destroy the peace, safety, and dignity of our communities.
In the forests, on the roads, at forward operating bases, in the air, creeks, and across difficult terrains, you carry the burden of national protection so that millions of Nigerians can sleep, work, worship, farm, trade, and raise their children in hope.
This fight has not been easy. It has come with pain, pressure, and sacrifice. But your courage has remained firm. Your service is acknowledged. Your sacrifice is honoured. Your country does not take you for granted.
To every officer and soldier of our Armed Forces, to the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, intelligence services, local security formations, and all who work day and night to keep Nigeria safe, I say thank you.
I also acknowledge the families behind the uniform. Many of you have endured long absences, anxious nights, and the emotional cost of duty. Nigeria remembers that sacrifice, too.
We honour those who have paid the supreme price in defence of our country. Their names may not always trend, but their courage lives on in rescued communities, protected families, and the survival of the nation they served.
The fight against terror is not only a military operation. It is a national duty. Citizens must support our security forces by providing timely, useful information. When you see something, say something. When you know something, report it.
Nigeria will not surrender to fear. We will not allow terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, or violent extremists to define who we are as a people. Their violence is not our identity. Their hatred does not represent Nigerians of any faith, creed, or community.
To our troops and all front-line patriots, thank you for your courage. Thank you for your vigilance. Thank you for your service.
May the Almighty protect you as you protect our country.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces
Federal Republic of Nigeria
When the Fulanis arrived in Hausa land, they met the Hausas already practicing Islam. Yet the Fulanis claimed that the Hausas were not practicing Islam in the right way and they declared jihad on the Hausa kingdom.
The Fulanis wlped out every Hausa prince and their kings who were already Muslims in that jihad. In the aftermath of the war only the Fulanis benefited from it and became the ruling class in the Hausa states without appointing any Hausa Muslim to be king, which means they put their tribe first before religion in the Hausa states they conquered
But you as a Yoruba Muslim, because of your ignorance and lack of knowledge about history, will be saying your religion come first before your Yoruba tribe. You’re the biggest f🤡🤡I on earth.
Look at this fellow. He asked Grok to fact-check me, thinking Grok would agree with him. And when Grok told him that, given Nigeria's current annual revenue, a ₦500,000 minimum wage is unrealistic, because even our total revenue cannot sustain it, he began insulting Grok.
Grok is an AI that deals in publicly available factual data. It has no political leanings. Yes, it can be wrong sometimes, especially if the publicly available data is inaccurate. But that is far and few between.
Unfortunately, a critical mass of our people are too emotional, and even though God gave them the capacity for critical thinking, they prefer the easier path of emoting.
Nigeria's total annual revenue of less than ₦30 trillion cannot sustain the wage bill that would accrue if you suddenly increase the minimum wage to ₦500,000, which would result in a wage bill of at least ₦36 trillion annually.
Even if you stop paying the President, all his appointees, and National Assembly members, our current annual revenue will still not be enough to cover such a wage bill.
Salaries and wages of a country or business are not tied to emotions or wishes. Only one thing drives wages: productivity.
Besides, if you increase wages without first increasing productivity, not only will the country go bankrupt, but we will have the type of hyperinflation we had in 1974, when General Gowon implemented the Udoji Awards.
Fifty-two years later, Nigeria has not recovered from that crisis.
And this fellow is asking for a South African tax model for Nigeria. Before insulting Grok, is he aware that you pay up to 45% tax in South Africa? Oh, please, fact-check me! Try that in Nigeria, and even this fellow would riot.
My people, let us not let our emotions guide us in matters that require our intellect.

Before the removal of fuel subsidy, Rivers State was receiving around N18 billion monthly, while Obio/Akpor got about N450 million.
Last month alone, R/S eceived N50 billion, while Obio/Akpor received roughly N1.31 billion.
But on X, I am still asking Tinubu where the fuel subsidy money is going.
The country is hard, but are we being honest about how we make it harder for ourselves?
Last month, my husband and I needed to travel from Abuja to Kaduna for a wedding. Knowing how difficult it can be, we were on the NRC booking platform exactly at 12:00 AM, two days before the trip. Almost instantly, the system kept returning "seat not available." We quickly switched from our phones to a laptop and, thankfully, managed to book our tickets. By 12:30 AM, the entire train was "sold out."
We felt lucky, until we actually boarded the train.
To my absolute surprise, there were rows of empty seats. What does this mean? People are aggressively hoarding and booking these tickets just to scalp them at ridiculous prices. When they fail to find desperate buyers, the seats travel empty. They are literally denying genuine commuters the opportunity to travel safely and comfortably, just to make a quick buck.
A few days later, I even saw someone confidently advertising their "ticket booking service" online. The effrontery
We constantly demand better infrastructure and systems, but when we get them, the first instinct for some is to game the system and weaponize it against fellow citizens. It’s not just a governance issue; it’s a massive failure of empathy. We really need to do better.

Your parents have been married for close to 30 years. You don’t see them as role models for marriage, but two social media couples who got married and divorced in less than two years are making you scared to get married. You see that you don’t have sense.
