Great to see the Red-spotted Bluethroat at Stanpit this morning. A first for me so abslutely delighted to see this Subarctic/Scandanavian visitor. (there may well be another post when I finish going through them).
The Wryneck at Barleycrates on Portland yesterday afternoon, spent 2 hours deep in the 'twiggery', before posing nicely on a rock to have a look around. ( I can't promise there won't be more).
Very confiding Little Stint at Ferrybridge yesterday morning, feeding along the channel behind the cafe. I thought it deserved the full set as its the 1st I've seen this year.
Info kindly from the ringer Tony Davis, bird was ringed as a nestling in NF in 2018 and successfully raised 6 young last year . If he is seen again after June 3rd then he will break the national age longevity record for Wood Warblers!!
