@ben_kew Depend how you define it.
Would you rather have elites making billions but people in debt - plus trillions of national debt - but that's fine 'cos hey - we have high GDP 🤡
Or have real purchasing power, no debts, vast tangible assets, a sustainable economy, but "lower GDP".
@TulioWars@Alex_Oloyede2 Because for the moment we print monopoly money that has pretend notional value.
We are trillions in debt and print more fake money.
When that house of cards collapses, they will pillage the country and flee somewhere with tangible resources.
GDP is smoke and mirrors.
Lebanese 🇱🇧 journalist and author Brigitte Gabriel:
“When I was born, Beirut was considered the ‘Paris of the Middle East.’ Today, Paris is considered the Beirut of Europe.”
The Labour government is lying to you.
A border officer at Manchester Airport says there is a corner of the airfield he can see and is banned from entering. Flights in between 2am and 4am. Three or four a week. Transponders off. Special call sign. Cleared to land.
Not screened by Border Force. Met by Home Office staff. Onto unmarked buses. Out a side gate. 200 to 300 people a flight, from the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.
That is not a leak. That is the government flying people in while telling you the border is under control. Illegal immigrants, delivered by the same people who swore they would stop the boats.
They are not failing. They are doing it. And they are lying to the British people about it.
Before he created "Breaking Bad," Vince Gilligan co-wrote a TV episode about a hijacked passenger plane flying straight toward the World Trade Center.
It premiered six months before 9/11.
In the story, a secret group inside the U.S. government takes remote control of a Boeing 727 full of passengers. The plan is to crash it into the Twin Towers, blame foreign terrorists, and start a profitable war.
More than 13 million people watched it. The show was canceled a few months later, and most people forgot it ever existed.
On September 11, Gilligan watched the attacks on CNN like everyone else. As he looked at the smoke rising from the towers, one thought hit him:
"Wait a minute. We wrote this."
Hey @grok, concise, no spin.
Did Israel have Hamas’s leaked 40-page October 7 battle blueprint over a year in advance, laying out the invasion point by point, with Hamas later executing it with shocking precision?
Yes or no.
@NotOkN1 Mogg is such a toss pot.
His arguments were this and the Salisbury incident (which was total bollocks).
Maybe Georgia (ironically another NATO provocation).
He literally had nothing but tired cliches and tropes.
@phortuenti Churchill was a bankrupt alcoholic whose donors wanted war.
Hitler wanted peace, and we actually bombed them first.
As an aside - if you want top level security clearance in the UK and are in such a vulnerable position, you won't get it.
Because you are totally corruptible.
@DPJHodges No, no he didn't.
GDP is not about quality of life, purchasing power, government debt or resource assets.
The West is bankrupt but hey!... we peddle financial instruments so our GDP is high 🤡.
It isn't sustainable and we have nothing else.
I know which economy I'd rather have.
@AkkadSecretary 💯 We banked everything on peddling financial services and tech. It was never sustainable.
Yes on paper our GDP is bigger, but GDP is not about economic sustainability or purchasing power.
Which economy would you rather own?
I think we know the answer - which is why we need war.
France is reaching the end state just a little ahead of the rest of the EU. Germany and the UK will be next.
@remigrationinst is a very good account to follow.
Got the little lying prick.
The cockpit door opens outwards towards the passenger side....NOT INWARDS.
The crew member (the plumber first says pilot but is corrected by the host) was in the plumbers opinion preventing the door being PUSHED OPEN.....which the plumber says he eventually achieved.....although the injured pilot laying on the other side of the door made it difficult to open....
