Today, I had a moment where I questioned my integrity, my principles, and my authenticity. I challenged myself with ‘why bother’ and ‘what’s the point’ in a time of frustration & upset.
I had to step back and remind myself of who I am, and the values I own. That the right thing isn’t usually the most comfortable thing. And I reflected upon this quote.
I will ALWAYS stand with what and who matters to me. I will admit my mistakes and will own my faults. And I’ll be trusted and respected for this.

It is often against instinct and definitely counteracts instant-happiness culture but I cannot stress enough how important this is for our children.

There’s a brilliant example of silent modelling on my platform on my website: Sarah from Clearwater, Gloucester with Y4 doing perimeter of compound shapes (the video clip is labelled ‘area’ - ignore!). The right pace is vital so that they properly clock the steps involved.

This is more important than ever. I was lucky enough to be on one of Shirley's teams and what is explored is transformational for all children. It is absolutely necessary. Let's 'fight the good fight' for our children.

@Lin_Manuel Oh and if (like many filming cast and crews) pitched up camp in Taurus Craft car park and I drove past you everyday, then consider me floored!
