dating after spending essentially your entire adult life in a long-term relationship is nightmarish because I entered the dating world assuming everyone was as serious about building a life as I was. almost two years later, I’ve realized how rare that actually is.
and I don’t mean I want some old-school, cookie-cutter version of love. I want something real. I want someone who wants to look at all the fucked up shit we inherited from our families and say, “okay, what do we do differently?”
I want to build a family, a life, an empire together. I want us to spend decades loving each other, working hard, learning, healing, raising good and educated people, and helping them build lives even better than ours.
I want to be 70 years old, look around at everything and everyone that came from the life we built together, and think: holy shit, look what we did!
