Currently in the T3 scene I only see leagues that have prize pools based on teams paying entry fees. You can keep that if you want, but you can also get donations from the community. It would just require someone known like Pengu or whoever to market it.

I have been seeing posts all day about no T2 scene. Wc3 has been dead since the early 2000s and the scene has continued through community donations. They are able to run plenty of tournaments throughout the year with good prize pools including LANs. I don't see any reason why 1/2

someone well known in the community cannot set up a community donations prize pool system. Twitch streamers make a living on the same concept. You get 1000 people donating $5-10 each and you have a decent prize pool and can run it multiple times per year with very little cost.
