BREAKING: In a terribly embarrassing moment for Trump, Fox News has to cut away from his speech because he isn’t making any coherent sense. It’s beyond clear Trump is senile. Retweet so all Americans see this.
“WTU’s primary focus right now is on building community and fostering trusting relationships among tenants.” Writes Emma Anderson in her SLUG interview with @TenantsU. Read the full interview here: https://t.co/7hP1l0vuho
The tiny home village pushed by @slcmayor@erinforslc is an exercise in turning homelessness into an economic resource, discouraging real solutions.

@slcmayor@crabfinger Your redevelopment agency is funneling millions into luxury housing and displacing whole neighborhoods.
You are on record very recently (on a local podcast) speaking against public housing.
Just own it.
@errrands_ @801Cowabunga We can get you in touch with the Slc district organizers. WTU is just spreading the message. When does your association negotiate your COLA?
Utah will begin reviewing strategic locations for the placement of four new dust monitors to capture wind events over the Great Salt Lake's exposed bed to determine the levels of arsenic and other pollutants carried to the Wasatch Front. https://t.co/ZV6w8W9U4d
@TaylorWAnderson You should post the AMI requirements laid out in the overlay, and compare that against the average income of the top 10 most common jobs in the valley.
The overlay is a handout to developers and it is a good thing if it dies (even at the hands of the worst people in the city)
@TaylorWAnderson Rich suburbanites can get fucked, but this ‘affordable housing overlay’ is a naked attempt to circumvent basic democratic input on how communities are planned. The plan allows them to do this if they provide housing affordable to people who make between 60k to 80k
@chasenye@slcmayor@slcrda The city already spends millions on housing; they’re giving it as gifts to developers in exchange for luxury units. For a history teacher your imagination and scope of thinking is very limited.
@slcmayor@slcrda There is no win-win between tenants and developers. The city, and this mayor need to step up, do the right thing, and create public housing that will be ran not for profit, with the explicit intention of putting developers out of business in the city.
@slcmayor@slcrda The city spends 3x+ on loans for for luxury units than they do for deeply affordable units.
When the city says 'affordable' they mean '80% AMI' which translates to about 1300 for 1 bedroom.
The RDA should be defunded, and all funding should be instead placed into public housing
