The more I look at $TENDIES, the more I think people are seriously underestimating how obvious this trade could become.
Every new chain eventually finds a meme that represents its culture. Not just a random mascot, but something that feels native to the people actually using it.
Robinhood was built on retail traders, options degeneracy, WallStreetBets, GameStop, diamond hands, YOLOs and people chasing life-changing gains from their phones.
And what did that entire generation call those gains?
Tendies.
That word was part of Robinhood culture before Robinhood even had a chain. It does not need a forced backstory, complicated lore or manufactured narrative. Anyone who lived through the WSB era already understands it instantly.
Cashcat was important because it proved Robinhood Chain could produce a real meme market. It gave the ecosystem an early mascot and showed that people were willing to speculate on more than just tokenised stocks and RWAs.
But I do not see $TENDIES as competing with Cashcat.
Cashcat represents Robinhood.
Tendies represents the traders who made Robinhood what it is.
That distinction matters.
Vlad is now building Robinhood deeper into crypto, and he clearly understands that a chain cannot survive on infrastructure alone. It needs attention, identity and culture. Memes are what turn a network from something people simply bridge to into somewhere people actually spend time.
If Robinhood Chain continues growing, the market is eventually going to search for its defining WallStreetBets coin. In my opinion, there is no cleaner ticker or stronger piece of native lore than $TENDIES.
It connects Vlad, Robinhood, GameStop, WSB and the entire retail trading movement in one word.
That is why I think $100M is not some ridiculous fantasy target. $TENDIES does not need to capture the whole market. It just needs to become the obvious cultural coin of the Robinhood ecosystem.
Cashcat opened the door.
$TENDIES feels like the coin made for the people walking through it.
The team at @uponrh have already whitelisted $Tendies for an LP farm/reward pool to go live once Epoch 0 begins.
With this for adding LP you will receive increased LP% as well as $UP tokens and incentives.
This should deepend liquidity for Tendies as well as pay holders well.
Been on /wallstreetbets since the GME days, held through the whole thing, watched my account go from five figures to nothing to five figures again more times than I can count. Blown up on FDs, printed on plays I had no business being in, posted my own loss porn when it went bad. So when I talk about tendies I’m not explaining it from the outside, I’ve been chasing them for years like everyone else here.
Tendies just means profit. Gains off a play. But calling it that instead of “returns” is the whole point, and if you’ve been here long enough you feel the difference.
Word’s older than the sub. Came out of those greentext memes about the guy who lives with his mom, does some chore, and gets rewarded with chicken tenders and “good boy points.” Effortless reward for basically nothing. That’s the idea baked into it.
But the guy himself is what matters. He didn’t stay a meme, he became the patron saint of the place. The overweight NEET in the basement, no job, no discipline, throwing a tantrum for his tendies, that’s who WSB decided to be. Not the Wall Street analyst, not the r/investing guy with his index funds. Him. The sub looked at the biggest loser in the meme and went yeah, that’s us. We’re not smart money, we’re the guy screaming at mom while betting the account on 0DTEs.
WSB just pointed the word at the market. You don’t realize returns here, you yolo something dumb and if it hits you got your tendies. It’s built to remind you this is gambling, not investing, and everyone’s in on that.
That’s why it stuck, and why it’s more than slang. It’s a flex and a self-own at once. You post the green screenshot but calling it tendies keeps it honest, you got lucky, you’re not a genius. It’s the one word that carries the entire attitude of the sub. r/investing has portfolio performance. We’ve got tendies or loss porn, nothing in between.
Fits with all of it too, apes, diamond hands, regards, this is the way. Tendies is what everything else points at. You hold, you pray, it pays, you collect. That’s the loop the whole culture runs on.
So no, it’s not just a word for money. It’s the soul of the place in one dumb syllable, the thing every degenerate here is really after, and the guy chasing them is the mascot whether anyone admits it or not. Been years for me and I still feel it every time a play prints. That’s tendies.
