Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren der Deutschen Bahn, @DB_Bahn

gestern versuchte ich, von Werne in Westfalen nach Heilbronn zu reisen.
Ein schlichter Satz eigentlich. Fast pastoral. Ein Mensch möchte von A nach B. Früher hätte man dafür ein Pferd genommen. Heute besitzt Deutschland den DB Navigator.

Die bemerkenswerte App teilte mir mit, ich würde um 15:07 Uhr losfahren und um 21:11 Uhr ankommen. Sechs Stunden und vier Minuten. Ambitioniert, aber nicht größenwahnsinnig. Kein Hinweis jedoch darauf, dass die Reise zugleich als interaktives Gesellschaftsexperiment angelegt war.
Begonnen hat alles überraschend harmonisch. Der ÖPNV war pünktlich. Dafür tragen Sie selbstverständlich keine Verantwortung, weshalb ich diesen Umstand lediglich der Vollständigkeit halber erwähne.
Der erste Zug startete dann mit etwa fünfzig Minuten Verspätung, weil ein Baum die Strecke blockierte. Ein schöner, fast poetischer Zwischenfall. Die Natur meldet sich zurück. Ich nehme Ihnen das nicht übel. Bäume sind bekanntlich stur und haben wenig Respekt vor Fahrplänen.
Der DB Navigator bot mir daraufhin eine Alternativverbindung an. Eine rührende Geste. Leider hatte Ihr Unternehmen inzwischen beschlossen, den Zug aufgrund der Verspätung nicht bis zum Zielbahnhof fahren zu lassen. Stattdessen fuhr er zurück zum Ausgangsbahnhof. Das hatte etwas Philosophisches. Eine Reise als Kreisbewegung. Nietzsche hätte vermutlich geweint.
Aussteigen durfte ich an einem mir bis dahin unbekannten Ort irgendwo im deutschen Zwischenreich. Ein Bahnhof wie eine Depression aus Beton. Dort suchte ich zur Alternativverbindung eine Alternativverbindung. Die Umstiegszeiten waren sportlich kalkuliert, vermutlich von Menschen, die ihre Freizeit mit Parkour verbringen.
Später stellte sich heraus, dass auch diese Verbindung nicht mehr fahrbar war. Das Wort "fahrbar" gefällt mir inzwischen besonders gut. Es klingt wie eine theoretische Möglichkeit, ähnlich wie "bezahlbarer Wohnraum" oder "digitale Verwaltung".
Am Zielbahnhof kam ich schließlich um 01:15 Uhr an.
Ein neuer Tag. Deutschland hatte sich weitergedreht.
Ich duschte kurz und beeilte mich beim Schlafen, um um 04:55 Uhr einen weiteren Reiseversuch zu unternehmen. Man entwickelt in solchen Momenten eine fast religiöse Hoffnung. Vielleicht klappt es diesmal. Vielleicht meint es der Schienenverkehr heute gut mit mir.
Am Bahnhof traf ich eine freundliche und bemerkenswert attraktive Zugbegleiterin. Sie wartete geduldig auf den Zug. Ich ebenfalls. Der Lokführer offenbar nicht. Vermutlich befand er sich noch in einem frühen Stadium des Erwachens oder dachte grundsätzlich über Mobilität nach.
Die angekündigten fünfzehn Minuten Verspätung wurden schließlich zu fünfundvierzig. Abgefahren sind wir trotzdem. Allerdings erneut nicht bis zum geplanten Zielbahnhof. Die Zugbegleiterin hatte dies bereits prophezeit. Ich glaubte ihr nicht. Das war mein Fehler. Man sollte den Orakeln der Deutschen Bahn mehr Vertrauen schenken.
Besonders aufmerksam fand ich ihren Hinweis, im Falle eines dringenden Bedürfnisses doch bitte das Behinderten-WC zu benutzen. Nicht etwa wegen einer Behinderung meinerseits, sondern weil die übrigen Toiletten defekt waren. Auch das hatte Symbolkraft. Ein ganzes Verkehrssystem zusammengefasst in einer einzigen sanitären Empfehlung.
Da mein Anschlusszug inzwischen unerreichbar geworden war, suchte ich erneut nach Alternativen und kaufte sogar ein neues Ticket. Unmittelbar nach dem Kauf informierte mich der DB Navigator darüber, dass auch diese Verbindung nicht mehr fahrbar sei.
Es war ein bemerkenswerter Moment zwischen mir und Ihrer App.
Wie ein Taschendieb, der einem nach dem Raub noch höflich zunickt.
Jetzt, während ich Ihnen schreibe, fahre ich zurück zum Ausgangsbahnhof. Danach setze ich mich in mein Auto und fahre nach Hause. Ein stiller Triumph des Individualverkehrs über die Idee von Fortschritt.
Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wofür ich Ihnen zuerst danken soll.

The center of the map still holds the best rewards… and the toughest enemies.

It’s a high-risk, high-reward area, especially in the new Season 2 map. Only dive in if you’re ready for PvP pressure - but if you succeed, the payoff is huge.

🎯 Complete Tasks:
Season 1 players know this one well: tasks give you early momentum.
Finish them as soon as you can to secure valuable shard rewards and gain a powerful head start.

More shards = better items = stronger mid-game.
