We gotta talk about one of my emerging favorites on the Rangers farm. Kid named Hector Osorio. Hector has a nice swing, can play all 3 OF spots, is adding power (he just homered), but here’s what to really like about Hector. He gets on base. A lot. 222 MiLB games: 162BB/120K. 👀
Osorio has homered again tonight and can lay claim to the Rangers farm’s breakout player of 2026. 11 HRs on June 2nd from a CF with 33BB/24K this season. Hello, Hector!
@SportsSturm open invitation to come sit with us behind the plate in Frisco for “pitching school”. Also, kudos for seeing The Miz. No one ever gets old and says, “I wish I’d gone to FEWER ball games with my friends and family.
Corey Seager’s day in Frisco is complete after 3 innings. He played shortstop, he batted twice, he hit a single up the middle and grounded into a double play, and he ran the bases.
Update: It’s possible the longer this goes on, the more attractive the old Valley View Mall site becomes. The team is run by deal-makers, the city is run by hamsters in a wheel.
@rrrubennnnnn I mean, these two guys are both having very good seasons and for Bormie, he looks like he might be ready for a MLB debut if he’s able to stay afloat in AAA. But they’re both gonna need to keep getting better to make it to the show and stick.
Frisco’s been banged the last two nights (lots of banging in Arkansas!), but they’re supposed to face Mariners prospects Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan tomorrow and Saturday. I have rather bad news for Rangers fans regarding both of these dudes.
UPDATE: They were ridiculous. Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan’s combined pitching line vs Frisco:
11.1ip, 2h, 0er, 0bb, 20K. Sloan went 6 perfect tonight with 11K. Can’t say we didn’t warn ya ‘bout these two Mariner dudes.
Malcolm Moore is 2-2 tonight in the 3rd inning and just singled in a run to give the Spartanburgers a 1-0 lead. He’s hitting .329 with a 1.002 OPS this season. Hashtag Frisco?
@dmcclure45 Lol, no. Like Mason said, locations are often manually entered by a human in the press box. More teams are installing Trackman to feed the GameDay data, but it’s expensive at the lower levels.
Through 3ip in his ‘26 debut, Caden Scarborough looks like he’s still probably the Rangers’ best pitching prospect. 3ip, 1h, 0er, 1bb, 3k. Only 38 P (24s). He’s pitching from the stretch and wearing a mock turtleneck under his jersey. That’s not relevant though.
Rafe Perich went 4-5 tonight with 2 HRs. The strong, switch hitting, 1B is hitting .308 with a 1.009 OPS this season. Love how he spits on that 0-1 CH, then launches a piss rocket on the next pitch:
