Today at Kamkunji Grounds, I had the honour of greeting the people of Kibera and urging everyone to register as voters. 2027 will be our moment to choose a new direction one built on dignity, vision, and real progress.

Even without a formal invite, the sitting MP Mwalimu Orero l, still handed me the mic, a reminder that when it comes to our community, unity must rise above rivalry. Mature leadership puts Kibera first.

And to my @TheODMparty family, the message is simple: the future is now. Kibera is rising. It’s time to trust young, energetic leaders who can carry the party’s vision forward with courage and clarity.
It was also great to meet Kisumu Women Rep @RuthOdinga42 her presence showed what committed leadership looks like.

Kibera deserves momentum, not maintenance. Let the people decide the direction they want to go.

It is worth noting that we have never witnessed Members of Parliament, Senators, or MCAs in Kenya demonstrating over delayed salaries or unpaid benefits. This raises a critical question: why should ordinary citizens face such challenges, while elected leaders remain insulated from the very hardships affecting those they represent?
Every year, doctors, teachers, and lecturers, the backbone of our health and education systems ,are forced to protest over delayed pay and unresolved issues. Their demands are legitimate and vital to national progress.

Leaders are elected to protect public interests, uphold the Constitution, and ensure government services work for all. They must address these systemic challenges and deliver for every sector, not just themselves.
