How to cling to the Word of God even if your circumstances disagree...

Faith is not denying reality.

Faith is deciding that God's Word is a higher reality.

When Abraham looked at his body, it said "impossible." When he looked at God's promise, it said "possible."

The Bible says:

"He considered not his own body now dead... but was strong in faith, giving glory to God." (Romans 4:19-20)

Abraham did not cling to the promise because he saw evidence.

He clung to the promise because he trusted the One who spoke it.

As a pilot learns to trust the instruments when the horizon becomes deceptive, faith learns to trust God's Word when circumstances send conflicting signals.

Even if the symptoms remain... cling to the Word.

Even if the money has not arrived... cling to the Word.

Even if the answer seems delayed... cling to the Word.

Even if emotions are screaming the opposite... cling to the Word.

Peter walked on water as long as he kept his attention on Jesus. The storm was real. The waves were real. The wind was real.

But there was something more trustworthy than the storm:

The Word: "Come."

One word from God can sustain you in circumstances that seem impossible.

Faith says:

"I respect the facts, but I agree with God's Word."

"I acknowledge the storm, but I cling to the promise."

"I may not see the answer yet, but I refuse to let go of what God has said."

Because circumstances change.

Feelings change.

Reports change.

But:

"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God shall stand forever." (Isaiah 40:8)

Hold on long enough, and what is eternal will eventually outlast what is temporary.

Hagar was crying over a problem while sitting next to the answer.

The well was already there.

God did not create a new well.
God opened her eyes.

Many people are praying for God to send provision.

What if provision is already closer than you think?

What if the next opportunity, idea, connection, customer, strategy, solution, or open door is already present—but you simply cannot see it yet?

📖 Genesis 21:19
"Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water."

Today I pray that God opens your eyes.

Not merely for more money.
But for the revelation that leads to provision.

The water at Marah was bitter.

Israel had a water problem.

But God did not send rain.
He did not create a new river.
He did not move them to another location.

Instead, He showed Moses a tree.

The solution was already there.

📖 Exodus 15:25
"And the Lord showed him a tree..."

One revelation from God can turn bitter waters sweet.

The answer you need may already be closer than you think.

Pray not only for provision.

Pray for revelation.
