In short, you come along and bring every fear and every homophobic stereotype they’ve ever believed to loud, demanding, rainbow colored life. You separated mentally unstable children from their parents, preventing them from getting real therapy, and some of those children _died_ — how the fvck did you think people were going to react to that?
