Not one story on their websites.

Not one post on their national X accounts.

But the same week his death was ruled a homicide, CBS and ABC found time for a story from that exact same jail.

An inmate who escaped his cell with a pencil.

The pencil got national coverage.

Bubba got nothing.

His family's attorney says he died of dehydration.

6 black jail employees have been fired.

No one has been charged.

Local reporters at Queen City News did the work. The national networks looked away.
