"Why do they have to be gay?" Why do they have to be straight? The show is about soulmates, so it's logical to have gay pairings the same as het since gay people exist in real life like straight people do, whether bigots like it or not. Again, representation matters

I don't get to talk about Bill Skarsgård's episode of Soulmates (s1, ep4). Gay couple, no annoying stereotypes, no gay panic, no homophobia, no aids scare, no shame, no suicide, no terrible unhappy ending, no dying. It was wonderful. I wish it had been a whole movie.

It's like saying that a girl in the story is allowed to talk abouther bf/husband and it's fine. But if a guy mentions his boyfriend, he's crossed the line and assholes ask why it has to be about relationships and sexuality. Representation is fucking important.

My family isn't overboard religious, they didn't get mad at me for not waiting til grace was said before I started eating during Thanksgiving. But I'd been staring at that delicious turkey an hour by that point & was so hungry I was shaking, & I'm a godless heathen.
