@Rhymestyle@Cimoooooooo Unfortunately, this is really common with terminal illness like this.
MrRhymeStyle, I hope you get some rest and take some time for yourself if you need to. I know it can be very difficult to process and cope with things like this.
My love goes out to everyone Cimo touched.
@MTGOsalseo@KbolMagic Then sell the WOE boxes and buy SOS boxes, pocketing the extra.
Future value doesn’t mean anything here. That’s like wanting $100 in gold over $250, because you think the gold will be worth more later.
@coL_Amazonian@chrismogaku I think you should consider looking at Brawl from the lens of being more like Legacy than EDH. This format lends itself to competitive play in a way that EDH doesn’t, and I hope they continue to bring it closer in parity to Duel Commander.
@MTG_Arena Extremely exciting!
I look forward to tweaking my Acererak list to the lack of bans! I know Tainted Pact and Demonic Tutor will feel excellent, and more fast mana in Chrome Mox & Ancient Tomb will help immensely!

@ZawaTweets@ragevshairdryer@potatoking1997@nestapendragon In the EDH bracket system, Wizards even defines the specifically regulated combos as “locks, enders, and infinites”, implying there are other types of combos besides these three. It also shows that combos that aren’t infinite are still combos, like locks.
@ZawaTweets@ragevshairdryer@potatoking1997@nestapendragon Because going infinite is not a requirement for a synergy to be a combo?
They already provided an example, and I’ve provided a few more in other replies, but examples don’t explain it better than:
Why aren’t they combos? I explained that combos are synergies that break parity.
@ZawaTweets@ragevshairdryer@potatoking1997@nestapendragon Why isn’t a square a rectangle? The answer is, it is!
Combos are inherently synergistic. The criteria for a synergy being called a combo is subjective, but it usually denotes breaking parity. Locks, enders, infinites, etc.
All combos are synergies. Not all synergies are combos.
@potatoking1997@nestapendragon Another few examples of popular combos that aren’t infinite:
Phyrexian Unlife/Angel’s Grace + Ad Nauseum. Ends when your library is empty.
Necrodominance + Sheoldred, The Apocalypse. Draws your life total minus one card, doubles your life total. (Each end step.)
Etc.
@potatoking1997@nestapendragon That’s just, not correct.
A “combo” is a combination of two(+)cards that are extremely synergistic. While they often end the game, lock, go infinite, or generate an extreme resource adv., that isn’t a requirement.
Channel + Fireball, the most well known combo, isn’t infinite.
@enviry@rs_lynds I used to use the freecam plugin to freeze my camera, zoom in close to a spike in Brimhaven’s agility arena; move the window to leave the smallest possible bit of the window on screen, and just click that spot while I watched videos.
You jump over it, over and over. Decent XP.
@petrichorror@Dag_Zaggles@blounz Many, many people use this exact product and others like it to pass drug screens every day.
It’s formulated to almost be identical to real urine, except for a few genetic markers that regular screens aren’t looking for.
You have no experience here, and that’s understandable.
@Funk_fu749@nestapendragon A 40 turn clock that changes into a 20 turn clock next turn, and so on. Usually played in decks like Valgavoth where they represent value.
Kaito’s emblem represents a difficult to remember and track part of a very interactive part of the board, and is still excellent value.
@Funk_fu749@nestapendragon Are you living in 2015 when emblems were only from ults?
There’s a Kaito that upticks to make an anthem emblem for ninjas. There’s a Chandra that upticks to make an emblem that burns everyone for 1 damage in the upkeep.
Etc.
@ourmartyredlady Alcohol & THC are more addictive but still, mostly because they’re actually obviously enjoyable during use. It’s easy to use because it’s fun.
The only time a drug I’ve tried has genuinely resulted in true hard temptation was trying Oxycodone.
It’s dangerously euphoric.
@ourmartyredlady Absolutely not.
Nicotine is a mediocre drug, all things considered. My first real adult cigarette was enjoyable enough, and I did get a noticeable nicotine high.
But not enjoyable enough for me to smoke regularly. I’ll smoke a cigarette if I’m given it for free, and I’m drunk.
@Xiaomimi5210866@Eisenkocher@AdamBasis It doesn’t matter what you think it should be, you can’t change reality.
It’s not just about latency. It’s about the resources required to show things like an app index, or even just render visuals, and the power efficiency of doing so.
This will always be more efficient.
@GCNDiscs_@Yay_Yow@peach2k2 No, it shouldn’t. You just don’t fundamentally understand what this is and why it’s beneficial.
It is generally more power and resource efficient to run the CPU at a high clock speed than to wait longer at a lower clock speed for the same task.
This is only a good thing!
@Eisenkocher@AdamBasis The floor is much lower than you believe.
Do you also think most DMs on Linux have “slop” menus? Because this optimization has been a part of the Linux kernel for a while now, and hasn’t ever been complained about.
You’re trying to bandwagon against MS for the sake of it.
@_CerealSauce@peach2k2 You have no understanding of what the CPU architecture is designed for.
Low power draw over a longer period of time is generally less efficient than a short burst of power for a shorter task time.
This is called a race to call power plan.
You have no idea what you’re saying.
