On this day in 2022, a fat faced tabby was caught in a trap. Scared, hungry, and sick with pneumonia, he spent some time in the ICU. The rest is history, but I like to consider today, his shelter intake date, Fishtopher's "birthday."

Hamish is under our care and looking for a new home as his owner sadly can't look after him anymore due to circumstances changing.
He is very loving and bright. Hamish is a 9 month old Jack Russell Cross.
He is very intelligent and quick to learn.
He is good with older kids and can be excited meeting new people. Children 7+ would be suitable, preferably children that are dog savvy.
He hasn't had any issues with other dogs. He is very friendly.
Hamish is chipped and healthy with no medical issues. He is also registered at the vets and up to date with all his vaccinations.
He would suit a home with no cats.
Hamish eats a mix of James Wellbeloved Chicken and Rice and sleeps on his cushion and blanket at night.
He is good off the lead and has some recall if you say ''Hamish Come''.
He can be left on his own, usually for up to 2 hours.
Hamish loves treats and normally has natural ones.

Baxter is a male black cat, aged around 4-5 years old. He is looking for a new home as sadly he was left behind when his owner was evicted.
He has been looked after since by a cat charity and their friends, however as the colder months are now here, he would need a cosy warm home to call his own.
He is very friendly and stays close to his female carer. He will also eat anything, not fussy.
We have very limited information on Baxter due to the circumstances of his life.
He would make a great companion pet for someone who is on their own, no other pets or young kids - older children 9+ would be okay.

“They are spending $200 million against us,” said Talarico. “It's why those billionaire megadonors are so invested in electing Ken Paxton and stopping us. And I should say it's actually just one billionaire megadonor…”

“Elon Musk is trying to buy this Senate seat in Texas,” he said bluntly. “We just found out that he is almost single-handedly bankrolling this effort to install Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate and defeat this movement we built in our state.”

“In all likelihood, if you have seen an attack ad on your TV, that was Elon.”

“If you've gotten lies in your mailbox, that was Elon.”

“If you've received a text message saying scary things about me, that was Elon too.”

“Our movement is funded by 1.3 million individuals who have given to our campaign,” Talarico said. “Ken Paxton is funded by one dude. Elon Musk wants our land. He wants our water.”

On that point, there can be no argument. Musk has pumped a firehose of cash into the campaigns of MAGA crooks like Governor Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton. In return he has received billions in tax incentives and tens of millions in grants. One filthy hand washes the other.

“He wants his very own personal United States Senator,” said Talarico. “He is trying to buy Texas. But on November 3rd, we are going to send a crystal clear message to the world's first trillionaire.”

“Texas is not for sale!” Talarico concluded.

This choice could not be any clearer.

On one hand, you have a Democrat advocating for better healthcare, an end to pointless wars, higher wages, an expansion of housing construction, and banning Congressional stock trading.

On the other hand, you have a Republican who was impeached by his own party for bribery, funded by anti-American billionaires, who will serve as nothing but a rubberstamp for Trump’s destructive agenda.

Choose wisely, Texas. Your children will live with the consequences!

We suspected this was the reason Ukraine’s access to Starshield was restricted. But to see it from senior officials in this reporting is still utterly unconscionable.

Let’s be absolutely clear about what this means. The Trump Administration deliberately restricted technology Ukraine relies on to intercept Russian drones and ballistic missiles. It made it harder for Ukraine to defend itself and easier for Russia to carry out its deadly attacks against Ukrainian civilians.

They knew exactly what was at stake. They knew that more Russian drones and missiles would get through, allowing Russia to kill even more Ukrainians. And yet they went ahead anyway.

This is a deliberate weaking of Ukraine’s defenses that only Russia will benefit from. It is a betrayal of our ally that this Administration cannot wash its hands of.

The American people deserve to know who made this decision, why they made it, and how they can possibly justify putting more innocent Ukrainian lives in the crosshairs of Putin’s war machine.
