The Franklin Police Department is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Brad Lewis. For years, Brad built and donated dozens of wooden toy chests for our annual holiday toy drive. He did so in memory of his daughter, Kristi Clark, and grandson, Carter Oakley, who tragically lost their lives in 2015 while helping others on I-65. Brad’s generosity, craftsmanship, and love touched countless Franklin families, and his spirit will continue to live on through this tradition. This year’s toy drive will be held in honor of Brad, in addition to Kristi and Carter.

Latest HRRR model has shifted the rain to our area rather than keeping it east. This is not ideal. Flood Watch goes into effect at midnight and continues until noon tomorrow.

4. Models suggest we will clear out in time for outdoor activities tonight.

5. Heavy rain should redevelop after midnight and last into the morning. That's our flooding / flash flooding concern.

6. Derecho? Maybe. Sure hope not. Line coming in is very strong.

3. Hazards: commute-snarling rainfall with lightning. Damaging straight line winds up to 70 MPH. Hail possible but less likely. Tornado cannot be ruled out but not a concern right now.
