I play some Magic: the Gathering, I watch some CounterStrike. Never met a spreadsheet I didn't like. Not-so-secretly hoping WotC brings back Netrunner. He/Him
@CCriadoPerez I've ordered a scan from The Royal Library in Denmark, secondarily borrowing the physical copy, I assume you're interested in getting access to the article?
@necessarytrash @SaffronOlive 103.2a says the deck after putting away sideboards (if applicable) "each player’s deck is
considered their starting deck." As you go through 103 for g2 I can see how that can support the argument that deck you present for g2 is your new starting deck.
@necessarytrash @SaffronOlive "Restarting the game" on Karn Liberated immediately ends game 1 and starts game 2. I don't think rule 903.11a clearly says you cannot bring in a card into game 2 that matches a card in your game 1 deck. Your starting deck surely is your starting deck for game 2 after starting g2?
@Bubzkji Yeah I don't feel like this is a totally damning clip, it happens with words, but when NiKo is super ready to make a call, I think Zonic should just let him do it instead of wasting more of the timeout on thinking. NiKo is obv. very eager to get into it; not gonna calm him down.
@SPUNJ@StrikerHLTVorg Very possible, BLAST Lisbon will have a team that can leapfrog too. Not very likely, and FlyQuest can take wins at Cluj-Napoca to secure the slot - but very much in danger if they bomb out.
@messioso Eeird. The rules are poorly written if you can indeed fill a Tier 1 Main Event with 100% invites, as opposed to the 50% outlined in the rules. There is a rule that can supercede 3.1.1, but that _SENTENCE_ of 3.1.1. is also the one that allows invites to the Main Event at all.
@messioso Also as far as I can tell BLAST Open Season 1 does not fit the requirements of a Tier 1 Event, as the Playoffs is 6 teams (has to be 8 to be Main Event), and the Group Stage has 12 VRS Invited Teams (can only invite 50% of the Main Event, and the Group Stage is 16 teams).
@messioso It is also super weird that as far as I can see, for Katowice, the Play-In is a Closed Qualifier whilst Main Event is GSL + Playoff, whilst for PGL Cluj-Napoca, the Swiss Group Stage is technically a Closed Qualifier and the 8-team Playoff is the Main Event?
@messioso Even worse, only some of the games played on 3rd of February are included - the ones starting at 13.30 and 16.00 CET are, but not 18.30 games. GL is 0.4 points below VP at 12th, but lost 3.5 points today. Had they played later, they would earn direct invite to two Tier 1 events.
@luismmira Apparently yes, wild. Hope somebody else extends the standin-included lineup NIP is currently running with to a LAN pretty quickly, otherwise little chance to even make the major.
@luismmira Very happy to hear that you are looking into this matter. I also don't see how the rumored NIP roster is Wildcard-legal, but maybe that's just me?
