@PhilBlundell Couldn’t agree more. The fans got what they wanted and got an elite coach sacked. He should have been allowed the chance to carry on and been given the tools to show what he can do. Dangerous precedent has been set.
@_lfcleanne I do wonder how long everyone expects a necessary rebuild to take? Not one season that’s for sure. Fan expectation vs reality miles apart as per usual.
@ScouseRepublic I hear ya mate. I’m a proper saddo and know that Slot with the right players does play exciting football from his previous clubs. I honestly think we’ll see that next season with the right players coming in. They’ll go for rapid wide players and that will have a huge impact.
@ScouseRepublic Give him the players he needs, and they will, they’ll be sound I promise. We have to stick with it for though. Nothing changes with Xabi with this group. He’s the same profile/style of coach. We’re just so used to Klopp. No one can be him.
@ScouseRepublic I get it mate, it’s tough to watch. Doesn’t mean it won’t improve. It will. Losing Trent last summer, and then Ali to injury kills our build as Frimpong and Mama can’t build. That’s a recruitment issue which in my view has stitched the manager. It’s made us look bad.
@ScouseRepublic We’ve been playing against direct play most of the season, you can’t press that. Teams saw the success in going direct against us. Also a combo of fading players & new players settling in has disrupted us massively mate. Other teams are more settled, and we will be again.
@ScouseRepublic Watch the games back, look at how we are treated when we put a tackle in. Then watch the other teams and what they get away with. Seriously. That impacts confidence and decision making. I’m not being a dick, but look out for it.
@ScouseRepublic They will sort it I promise, this manager will sort it. To be fair to him he’s acted with class throughout despite a shit storm of stuff he’s had to deal with. We’ve got to help too, and booing him for protecting a 17 year old from injury is what other clubs do, not us.
@ScouseRepublic They’re also rebuilding the squad, it’s being done in phases, to add pace and aggression I would imagine this summer. They can’t press properly because they don’t have the players to do so. Equally how to you press direct play? There’s lot of reasons.
@Tactx_ Agree with most of what you say apart from the ‘educated fan’ we’re not educated fans anymore, we’ve become entitled fans like the rest who are part of a wider society that demands more and more success with no clue about how to build and develop, even rebuild and develop.
@ScouseRepublic Are we just like the rest of the clubs? Support when things are going well? Nah, fuck that. We’re supposed to be better than this, support them through thick and thin. This year has been tough for a number of reasons, and I’ll fight for them always.
@ScouseRepublic So let’s give up on them them. Sorry I just can’t have that. They’re not giving up, they need our help. There’s a lot of reasons this season hasn’t been good, and it’s not all on the manager/players. It’s too easy to pin it on them. Why do we sing YNWA if we give up on them?
@JamesPearceLFC “Level of dissent since Hodgson” just shows how fucking stupid our fans are. Grow up you entitled pricks. This isn’t Liverpool anymore. The fans are killing this club. Not the manager or the owners
Booing a substitution when protecting a 17 year old lad from injury and other growth related issues is beyond low. Well done to all concerned. Liverpool fans are now no better than the rest. Pathetic. @TheAnfieldWrap@TheRedmenTV
Shame the noise and influence of the likes of @TheAnfieldWrap & @TheRedmenTV has now got in to the ground and turned us in to Spurs and Chelsea. No free pass, no extenuating circumstances, they’re forgotten. So we’ll sack Slot and then when we’re not happy we’ll sack Xabi too.
@BenBocsak People always blame the manager when they don’t know the game well enough. Too easy, this is not all on him. Too many people taking the easy way out. Sad really, but not unexpected from the Twitter experts.
@boonysixx I agree unfortunately. The fanbase are spineless. They’ll get what they want, and then they’ll call for Alonso’s head when he loses a few. When Arne goes we’ll have finally become United, Spurs and Chelsea.
