In case you wonder what it's like to be Canadian:
Saturday: I almost hit a moose driving home from a hockey game
Sunday: I shoveled snow for 2 hours - half an hour of that was wearing hockey skates
Friday: Gov't sent me a letter asking for more taxes
@howie_hua My roommate in college was Al Jabrah. But I think Cal is a great baby name for math lovers. Either that or Differential Equation. Also, baby names for math lovers? Isn't that a little derivative?
@bcurlock What kind of odds were they giving for Edmonton to miss the playoffs in September? And do we have stats on if there were multi-million dollar bets made on that? How else do you explain this? See also: 1919 World Series.
This is some high-quality engagement farming! So good that I will reply.
I feel like 13 right next to 14 is a bit logically inconsistent.
Yours:
13) kids shouldn’t drink soft drinks ever. And I can’t believe parents buy fruity pebbles and pop tarts.
14) alcohol isn’t as bad as people think it is. When used in moderation it is a net positive.
Alternative could easily be:
13) Soft drinks are bad for everyone, so are pop tarts. But in very small doses, sometimes the convenience can come in handy.
14) People shouldn't drink alcohol ever. And I can't believe people spend $15 to damage their health at a football game.
I also think you need to qualify 23 with a timeline, like "AI won't change the world very much in the next 2 years" I think you might be grossly underestimating the 15-year impact. View your #1 #9 and #25 in the context of what AI will enable and it's potentially very scary.
Had a great talk with @PericlesRellas about his early days in showbiz and his views on resetting your financial thermostat. We talk $UPS and as always $SPY.
