If the UK eliminates all CO2 emmissions and covered 50% of the available landscape with, too costly to recycle, solar panels and stupid, ugly, unrecyclable turbines it will have a miniscule impact on climate variation (less than 1% of 1 degree C by 2100) but it will beggar this and future generations. Offshoring those emmissions reduces the impact significantly, that and jobs lost only makes sense to fools and public sector parasites.
