Atlantis SAPS detectives in the Western Cape are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the people depicted in the attached identikits. Police believe these two individuals can assist in their investigation into the murder cases of two victims who were shot in Witsand.

Police responded to a shooting incident in Nqanqarhu, Witsand, Atlantis on Sunday, 16 August 2026 at approximately 12:25, where they found an unknown male person with a fatal gunshot wound. In another incident, a male victim was declared deceased at Chris Hani Street, Witsand, Atlantis after a fatal shooting on Tuesday, 22 September 2026.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Roderick Maasdorp on 082 469 7017 or investigating officer Detective Eldridge Mckenzie on 082 469 7017, alternatively #CrimeStop on 08600 10111.

Gauteng SAPS has arrested a suspect linked with the recent killing of a woman whose body was found naked and bruised in Tembisa, Mooifontein Cemetry.

The suspect was arrested in Tzaneen, Limpopo and apprehended last night around 23:00

“I commend this multidisciplinary team for their swift response, coordination and determination, which resulted in the apprehension of the suspect on the same day. This is the kind of policing we expect from our members. We will continue to pursue perpetrators of murder and gender-based violence and femicide and ensure that they face the full might of the law,” said Lieutenant General Dimpane.

The investigation and tracing of perpetrators linked to other women's bodies found in Ekurhuleni is still underway with police following all available leads.
