Purpose of Eritrean Journal:

Over the last 7 years, I have gotten to know many Eritreans who are smart and want to get involved but they feel intimidated by Eritrean history. “If I don’t know its history, I can’t really debate its issues: I KNOW NOTHING, and you uncles didn’t make it easy to find!”

After telling them for 7 years that if they had the will there would be a way, I am meeting them mid-point: here’s every important document about Eritrea, here are the essential books to read about Eritrea. Read them, and in a few weeks, you will know as much as those you admire. And it’s all in English.

Eritrean Journal will be hosting saay’s articles too. Mine. Going back to 1995: articles I wrote for Dehai, asmarino, Awate, Digest all in one place. No, I wrote more in 2008 but Hungugu ate that year 😎 I had productive years, I had quiet years…
