In Carwow's Model Y vs. BYD review, one moment that stood out was Mat Watson seemingly struggling with the Tesla door handle.
This was particularly amusing since, three years ago, Mat bought his mother a Tesla, and they had no issues with the door handles.
It raises the question: was Mat intentionally pretending to struggle with the handle? Has Carwow, and Mat in particular, developed an anti-Tesla bias?
Only time will tell.
I got you. You meant the Dashcam saving the clip.
The Dashcam is recording all the time but for it to save a clip, the car must have recorded a crash or you need to press the horn (as you correctly stated).
You can also click the dashcam button on the screen. This will save the last 10 minutes as well.
It is also possible to set it so that pressing the left wheel button saves the clip. This is what I have done.
@GoldGtr35@TheNewsProfesor@GoldBellClips I have no clue how it works. I have been wanting to wrap my Y with a dark matte red colour, for it to stand out.
Shouldn't you be guiding me through the process?
@GoldGtr35@TheNewsProfesor@GoldBellClips So not in the UK? I live in the UK.
I am not angry. I am just correcting disinformation being spread by anti-Tesla people like you 😀
@GoldGtr35@TheNewsProfesor@GoldBellClips You said in two years. I can believe 50k to 22k in 4 years.
2022 was a bad year to buy a car due to the covid related supply chain issues. You said you work in the industry so I am sure you are aware of this.
@GoldGtr35@TheNewsProfesor@GoldBellClips And Model 3 costs 40-60k, depending on which trim you had.
You are trying to make me believe after two years you only got 10k (base trim) or 30k for Performance?
That's just simply false.
I live in the UK, same as you, I believe.
A 3 year-old Model Y depreciates on average 34%.
Audi Q4 e-tron 48%
BMW i4 41%
Audi Q5 43%
Toyota RAV4 40%
BMW X4 30%
Compared new vs same spec 3-year old with similar mileage and trim levels from manufacturers' own website used car data.
@GoldGtr35@TheNewsProfesor@GoldBellClips Again, you are spreading disinformation.
Toyota RAV4, Audi Q5 (as examples of similar size/priced cars to the Model Y) depreciate faster than the Model Y. Teslas depreciate slower than other EVs.
Either you never owned a Tesla or did not know how it worked. It has defrost function and you can literally open the door from the app 😂
Lemons happen with any manufacturer. Seems like you got it sorted. That's what warranties and laws are for, to protect you. But don't generalise your rare occurrence to all Teslas.
@Anexity12@BleakNC24@GoldBellClips So, 100% of real-life situations for 99% of people (=anyone who doesn't take their car on track, or live in Germany)?
@GoldGtr35@TheNewsProfesor@GoldBellClips None of them beat a Model S Plaid.
And after the Plaid beats any Ferrari, it drives itself to pick up groceries and a full family of 5.
@GordonCair58247@thejimjams@BBCNews Somehow other manufacturers have been able to handle the tariffs 😂
Honda has no USPs to offer and their EVs are shit. That's the reason.
