@Ales_Kralj14@alex_avoigt Germany is not returning to coal. It trended downward and Germany is targeting 80% renewable by 2030. Household electricity prices are high, but so are incomes. Germany also has a more efficient housing stock and a far larger renewable energy sector than Slovenia, Mr scientist ;)
@TheLarioso@alex_avoigt It’s true, they could have kept nuclear going for 5 years, however Germany has no capacity for nuclear waste. High prices are due to large scale grid investments and will come down when 80% renewables are achieved around 2030. Germany still in investment phase - it will pay off.
@jjmccan127820@XFreeze Bullshit, Diesel and Petrol are extremely cheap here. About 50% of the price of Europe. The biggest reason to go EV is that many if not most households have rooftop solar and charge for free. Plus you can lower your income tax.
@itskyleconner I think ist another 3-4 years until they have figured out OTA and FSD with much help from Rivian (so be it). By that time Tesla will mostly be a software company selling licensed FSD to the OEM who have survived. Much more money in licensing software than trying to build cars.
@ddivey95@KatieMiller Tax concessions for families instead of for rich property investors. That someone who makes millions off property gets a cgt discount, but a family having 4 kids gets 0% tax benefit is just criminal.
@Cryptic_Ozzy_AU@elonmusk Partly, but we’d have 4 children if daycare wasn’t ~100$ a day per child after rebate. The reality is that both parents need to work to afford a house these days so no way around daycare. All while investors get tax concessions. How about a 5% rebate on income tax per child.
@elonmusk It costs 300$ a day to send two children to daycare, yes you get a rebate, but overall it’s financial suicide to have 👶, especially if you have a mortgage. It’s appalling that investor get tax concessions in this country and parents securing the future have to pay extra. Crooked
@ArtinHammi@Magical_Views66 Maybe you’re mixing up the lack of punctuality of the vast German rail network with the term efficiency. Anyhow, what you’re saying doesn’t make any sense.
@ArtinHammi@Magical_Views66 You did not mention France in your post, so calm down. While they have the fastest train they are very inefficient. So you want to compare a small country against Germany or other major European economy. Switzerland and Germany are the top two when it comes to GDP per hour worked
@ArtinHammi@Magical_Views66 Germany beats everyone of these countries in industrial and manufacturing efficiency. Not in train punctuality. But Germany still has the fastest trains compared with these countries. Denmark world class in government and service efficiency.
