Having a Tesla may have saved my dogs lives. Yesterday, the air-conditioning went out in our home. As you’ve probably read in the news, we are going through some all-time highs here in the DC area. Our home at one point reached 90° and the dogs were absolutely miserable.

If you know about dogs, you know that if the temperature gets too high, you cannot use fans to cool them. It turns your room into a giant convective oven for them since they don’t have an efficient method for evaporative cooling (sweating).

Thankfully, we own two Teslas. We’ve been able to keep the dogs (and their humans) cool all day by running the Tesla climate systems nonstop in both our closed garage and driveway until the HVAC could be repaired.

Remember sticking your face into the refrigerator when you were a kid to stay cool in the summer? Having a Tesla is like that. But you can sit inside and listen to music.

My 87 year old grandma used FSD to get her home during a heavy rainstorm from Jacksonville FL to Tampa FL.

Teslas in government fleets reduce costs for taxpayers

Green Bay PD is adding two 2026 @Tesla Model Y patrol vehicles to its fleet after first introducing Model Ys to its fleet in 2024.

Chief of Police said its two 2024 Model Ys cost less than $500 per year each to operate, with windshield wiper replacements the only maintenance so far, saving them a lot of money.

A Model Y driver started experiencing a medical emergency with chest pain mid-drive & called his son.

His son then remotely rerouted the car – which had FSD Supervised enabled – to the nearest hospital & let them know the vehicle was en route. ER staff were standing by on arrival.

Doctors later confirmed the quick reroute likely saved his life.
