@EoinLenihan Clifden was where I grew up went to school and remained ‘home’ long after I’d left for pastures new. it Was home. It was safe. Where everyone knew everyone and everything about them & nothing like this had ever happened there before. Who voted for this madness?
At the end of May Ali Sohrabi murdered and attempted to behead his former wife Masoumeh Jafri Manojan. He had a long history of domestic violence against her while in Ireland. He was arrested for her murder and apparently killed himself in prison yesterday.
Both had claimed asylum in Ireland and she had been staying at a migrant centre which had been forced on the people of Clifden - a small, close-knit community and holiday destination in the west of Ireland.
The government and media will be happy that he apparently killed himself as it saves both the embarrassment of yet another migrant murder case going through the courts with all of the sordid details of the murder and his ongoing abuse while being allowed to remain in the state.
But the thing is, her blood fell on Irish soil in a small coastal parish in Galway where for generations nothing so barbaric could be imagined. The memory of her attempted beheading will scar that small place for years to come. They have lost their innocence.
Think of the prison staff who found him yesterday in whatever state his corpse would have been in. A harrowing day in an already challenging job. They will be marked by that for years to come.
Every day, Ireland loses its innocence and grows numb to barbaric cruelty that simply is not and never was Irish. Irish people are growing accustomed to hearing of murder as a routine and everyday thing when as recently as 20 years ago a murder - no matter where it took place in the nation - shook the country to its foundations. Such was the level of peace and security.
Fianna Fail and Fine Gael - with the backing of SF and the other leftist micro-parties - kicked open Ireland's borders and invited in a world of madness. Worse, they forced entirely unvetted gangs of men from alien and often culturally backward nations into small communities where everyone knew everyone else and where trust was high.
The dismantling of Ireland as an island of high trust communities began with the great internal mass migration of the Celtic Tiger. Massive faceless estates allowed people to fall between cracks and the bonds of community, knowing one's neighbour intimately with a shared sense of interdependence and obligation faltered. This has led to the rampant spread of drugs, petty criminality and ennui and other social blights across every part of the country from village to market town to city.
But by forcing fake refugee settlements into these small communities, FF/G/SF have opened Irish people up to new horrors beyond their imagination 20 years ago.

@RealMattCouch Brings back memories of fleeing from Rhode island red roosters. Don’t think I remember one that wasn’t aggressive. I didn’t stop to fight it off though
@Doylerofficial1@CrimesOfLoyal And Protestant mostly/ loyalists = what you interpret as occupiers. As for singing about it, I could name several examples where violent struggle is praised.
@ImmortalGoyim@CrimesOfLoyal using religion as ‘defining ’ factor was lazy of me. We’ll stick with loyalist and national then. Do you really want to focus on those who’ve been here for centuries as being our most problem right now?
@awkwardgoogle How in this age of science and knowledge can it still be seen as acceptable to keep these magnificent animals in captivity. There’s a reason why the one known orca attack on a human was in a water park entertainment.
The utterly pointless targeting of Meloni by Trump shows how truly chaotic US policy has become.
Long after Trump is gone, the damage to US standing will remain. He was elected twice, more like him may get elected again.
Decades worth of global trust in the US is gone now.
@DearRebelAda Not Just Gay Men
Leiland-James Corkill was 13 months old when he was killed by Laura Castle, the woman who wanted to adopt him.
So many red flags on this case too and all ignored until it was too late.
@Meczuplastim Tiny kittens will poo or pee if their bottoms are wiped using a soft baby wipe. it’s how their moms keep Beds clean. If they don’t get licked by mom they can get constipated.
@MarcoFattorini Italians are fortunate to have such a PM. Trump does not take women in power seriously and should one dare to call him out was guaranteed to get spiteful and vengeful.
@jozefthemad Was it correct that he had two female carers? How does that work if he needed toilet? Grievance should be towards care home for poor risk assessment and negligence on part of carers.
