Lots of hs juniors creating/planning senior yr schedules now. 2 recs based on reading apps lately. 1) If you're on a block schedule & interested in a STEM major, take your math/science in the fall. 2) If you want a Calc-based major, don't downshift in math sr yr. Keep progressing

Great insight on college admissions- too often students say their stories aren’t exciting or they haven’t accomplished enough- focus on how you tell the story and even the most micro things will draw someone in and show how everyone’s story and experience has value.

I will say it again - Great essays do not have to be about some amazing event or activity. Just finished reading what I am guessing will be one of the best essays of the year, and it was about soybean paste soup and tells the story of a student/family's life progression.
