@Nature's explanation of how #greenhydrogen fits into our clean energy ecosystem, highlighting #steel and long duration #energystorage, and description of the impacts of the US PTC on cost competitiveness https://t.co/BTxK9awW1y
Two great articles that highlight the role, opportunity, and economics of #hydrogen and #ammonia as part of our decarbonized energy system, featuring insights from the @RMI_Industries team. Articles attached in a thread
@FinancialTimes explanation of the potential for #greenammonia to counteract the recent price spike and curtailment of production due to high #naturalgas prices https://t.co/c3JNVY4GTK
Looking to joining Kofi Mbuk to discuss his latest hydrogen report at Carbon Tracker! Thursday 11/3, register here if you would like to listen in https://t.co/2D4LWgYiGW
❌ Myth: Green hydrogen will have a limited impact on decarbonization this decade.
✅ Reality: Green hydrogen is ready to play a major role in global emissions reductions by 2030.

Hydrogen broadly labeled “clean hydrogen” doesn’t guarantee low #emissions. Each production path sees different emissions risks along its #supplychain. Read more to understand these risk and learn how we can maximize #hydrogen’s #climate benefit: https://t.co/iRxhYE6ZnF
My team @RockyMtnInst is hiring! If you or anyone you know is interested in working on #hydrogen, give this job a look! Great work with a great team https://t.co/ix9kgoAQmj
🚨 The Most Important Clean Energy Policy You've Never Heard About 🚨
The IRA has a little-known provision called the Energy Infrastructure Reinvestment Program (EIR) that will save money, reduce emissions, and revitalize fossil communities.
Let's dive in:

Using #greenhydrogen when you can use #electricity directly is an inefficient way to reduce carbon emissions. Find out where we need hydrogen - and where we don't - in our latest @RMIIndustries blog! https://t.co/Sz3Cvb4vMn
Did you know hydrogen is an indirect greenhouse gas? H2 leaks can extend life of methane and other GHGs in atmosphere, increasing warming. But leaks can be minimized & hydrogen is still a key tool for decarbonization, as @RockyMtnInst clarifies here:

In short, even with emissions from hydrogen leakage, green hydrogen provides a undeniably positive climate benefit in both the short and long term. Additionally, green hydrogen’s emissions will be will be less than those from the current natural gas systems.
Our hydrogen mythbusting series has begun! Check out our first piece on the climate benefit of hydrogen! 🌏✅ #climate#hydrogen#leakage#naturalgas https://t.co/11MdmZuNil
Great to this announcement to advance the modeling of hydrogen and carbon capture systems! The software to underpin the analysis, PyPSA, is a great tool build by a great team! I highly recommend checking it out- user friendly, flexible, and powerful! https://t.co/5a3PAzt63n
A net-zero energy system will need more than just a low-emission power sector!
In a new collaboration between @TUBerlin and @Breakthrough Energy we will improve the modelling of hydrogen and carbon management (CCU/T/S) in next-gen high-res open models:
