I just saw this story and it's like "officer involved shooting". This wasn't a "tiger attack". He climbed into a tiger's enclosure. The tiger didn't hop out after him. Idk what else he could've expected. They're not actually big cats. They're predators.

Seeing a lot of people on here say that they check out of hotels at the front desk
I don’t think I’ve checked out of a hotel once in my entire life. I just leave and assume they’ll figure it out after my reservation is over
So now I need to know
Do you actually check out of hotels or do you just leave?

Last week: Pitt-VT was the first matchup ever of two 4-0 power conference teams in which neither team was ranked.
This week: Miss State drops one spot after losing by 33 points at home, accomplishing a statistical AP poll anomaly.

I don’t really care. If you’re charging me for being late, my bill comes down when you are. Or at least be considerate. I waited once for a doc 2 hours after the start of my appointment. Didn’t even say “sorry for the wait” when she came in.
As an outpatient physician, this is the most misunderstood conflict between patients and doctors.
From the patient perspective, it’s inconsiderate, especially when many offices will reschedule if you are more than 10 minutes late. Traffic, child care, finding a ride, time off work. So many factors go into just getting to a doctor’s appointment on time.
From the physician perspective, there is a giant machine behind the doctor dictating how we run our clinics. Administration, reimbursement, regulatory hurdles like prior authorizations, balancing wait times with patient demand. If you asked most physicians how many patients they would like to see in a vacuum, most would choose a number that is far fewer than their current volume, but the healthcare system has other ideas.
I wish we had an empathy contraption. Two people wear it and you instantly understand the other person’s experience. In lieu of that, these types of complaints and disagreements can be remedied with better communication. Give patients updates on the status of the clinic. Vast majority of people are reasonable, just communicate. Have a system for it.
From @TheAthletic: The memory of Kobe Bryant's death lingers as LeBron James uses helicopters to get to 76ers practices. "Somewhere below, on a thousand glowing phones, strangers were begging him," our columnist writes. "Take the car. Please. Why risk it?" https://t.co/OU8k5fEy5H
