@MnothowandileC1 @TAKEALOT Signs of trauma in Adulthood manifest as perfectly hidden depression. There’s a book by @doctor_margaret called Perfectly Hidden Depression.
@nxumalokhanyie@feeling_stn Yeah her mum was bizzarely Ok with the inappropriate relationship between her "child" and a teacher😱
There needs to be a shift in our🇿🇼culture bc chances are she was looking at him like a prospective"stable&established" son in law🤦🏾♀️
@feeling_stn = mixed bag of experiences🔥
"He was my accounting teacher"
"How did you go from doing numbers to body parts?",asked Tinto,with confusion🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Moments later"we played real games&had fun,he bought me stuff etc..."
Grooming alert😳😳😳 @feeling_stn Spaces Episode Review ASAP🤭 https://t.co/C4m2SBK5GZ
@kimistry8 @feeling_stn She said she was in form 2 - so probably 14? And she mentioned that he 7-8 years older! So he was probably 21/22 years old. I find it problematic when young girls say they are attracted to older men! Rarely do they have full understanding/ able to give informed consent
@feeling_stn A teacher-student relationship would be deemed inappropriate&unprofessional in some parts of the world,regardless of age.
This episode of @feeling_stn showed how this is still not always the case in 🇿🇼. 😢
Takeaway 1: 🇿🇼 we have a long way to go
Takeaway 2: cringefest
@Sandise_iSipho True, fear of success is a thing...hence self-sabotage which can sometimes come with crippling perfectionism😢😢😢
Recognising this and other tendencies is key to solving the overall problem & achieving set goals
Setting S.M.A.R.T goals helps too🤔
