tbh i think joining a fandom also means being willing to accept everything that comes with it. there will always be drama, misunderstandings, unnecessary arguments, and little things that probs shouldn’t have become such a big issue in the first place. the bigger a fandom gets, the more ppl, personalities, opinions, and expectations come into the picture, so differences are inevitable.

there can also be cultural and language differences, especially when ppl from diff backgrounds come together in the same fandom. smth that seems completely normal to one person might be interpreted differently by someone else simply bcs we don’t share the same context. i think keeping that in mind helps us be more understanding instead of immediately judging everything from our own perspective.

i also feel like not every issue needs to be brought from one platform to another. some things are better handled where they originally happened rather than being reposted, translated, and discussed across different social media platforms. once more ppl get involved, it becomes much easier for misunderstandings to grow and for a small issue to turn into something much bigger than it needed to be.

that’s also why i don’t think we need to know every single piece of fandom drama. sometimes curiosity just pulls us into situations that have nothing to do with us. it’s okay to stay away from certain discussions, especially when there’s no reason for us to get involved in the first place.

at the end of the day, we’re here bcs we enjoy something and want to support the ppl we love. we’re here to celebrate their projects, achievements, content, and all the lil moments that make being a fan fun. that’s what i personally wanna focus on.

there will always be disagreements somewhere in a fandom, and we can’t control that but we can choose what deserves our attention and what doesn’t. i’d rather spend my energy enjoying my faves, supporting them in my own way, and making sure being part of this fandom remains something that brings me happiness instead of unnecessary stress 🫡
