It's #MondayMorning walk. One of the things I love most about Hercules is his tail wagging. It makes me smile and feel so good he does it for me. Especially, this morning and this chapter in life. His tail wagging is one of the barometers of how's he doing. It means a lot in his quality of life. It will also be something I will miss about him very much. But we racked up wins this morning. He woke up, he was ready to walk, he had a good walk, his poop was solid and firm, he is hungry and he is wagging his tail. It's a good day.

Hercules and I have made a decision. We are going to choose a soft exit meaning we will celebrate his life and his passing will be the last event we share together when the time is right.

I want to hold him and make sure his Daddy's eyes are the last he sees. I don't want it to be with strangers at a hospital and my last of view him walking off with a vet tech and him wondering why is daddy staying and not coming with me. Or be in a kennel alone or be on a gurney bed when he is let go of if the exploratory surgery doesn't go well, which there is a higher chance even with the CT scan we would have to complete next. I would have to take him on a 4 hour road trip from Fort Worth to The Woodlands outside of Houston. We would have to make two trips in a week's time in hot July in Texas.

Even if it was a successful and the cancer was removed. There's no guarantee since he is already cancer prone with two different cancers already that more would not pop up soon after and we are back where we started. Plus at his age and quality of life and the recovery would take a huge toll. When this started almost two weeks ago, my main concern is and still is his dignity, overall quality of life and pain and suffering.

@TheHerdHouse and few others have volunteered to help me with creating a Gofundme to help with the very high costs of medical exams, medications, ultrasound and now chemo over a period of 9 weeks.

I will make a more formal announcement and share the link when an official Gofundme is created. I just wanted to announce what Hercules and I have decided. I am going to love on him and make sure he knows Daddy is with him till the end. My Ride or Die, Hercules aka "Teddy Bear". 🧸🧡

We unfortunately found out this morning after a weekend of throwing up and not feeling well, after doing x-rays that there's a mass behind Hercules' spleen. We have been referred to Fort Worth Animal Emergency Hospital to get a ultrasound to determine whether it's benign or cancerous but it doesn't look good.

I am shattered and don't know really what to do. We are the ones always helping others with their sickness and medical costs. Hercules is my world like everyone has. But he is such a good boy and I pray we can survive this. Hug your babies and love on them. Thank you for being our friends.

I will have my brother in Heaven Roy's handsome picture up the whole month of February. Daddy and I are sad we lost him to cancer. Daddy's mom die of cancer too so we took it a bit more personal. Roy was a wonderful boy and was so happy to the end. God bless you. 🙏#NewProfilePic
