@truthinitiative Nicotine vaping is stress inducing, especially when you're an adult that relies on nicotine vaping and your access to the products is constantly threatened and disregarded on the basis that a small group of teens are using them illegally.
Quite stressful, indeed.
@SenTedCruz "No one should not be forced to choose between a COVID jab or their job."
Typo? Surely, you're not saying that someone should be forced to choose.
Synthetic nicotine isn't the regulatory loophole that big tobacco lobbyists want you to believe. It's the last life boat remaining after the FDA's arbitrary denials sunk the vessels that kept many adults away from smoking.
Please don't give the FDA more ammo, @JohnCornyn.
The FDA's arbitrary review of vapor products has decimated small businesses and options for adult smokers. Big tobacco hopes congress will give the FDA oversight of synthetic nicotine so that the FDA will arbitrarily deny what's left. @SenTedCruz, please don't let this happen.
At that time, I doubt anyone envisioned calling something that is not derived from tobacco, does not contain tobacco, and is not meant to be combined with tobacco, a tobacco product. It'd be like regulating coffee as soda. It's delirious and regressive.
At that time, nobody envisioned that nicotine could be synthesized at a cost and quality that made it a viable alternative. Technology improved. And now it creates a major, and unintended loophole, in Congress' effort to apply public health regulation to tobacco related products.
@imaracingmom Just know that you have a lot of folks rooting for you, Skip. If I may, I'd like to suggest picking up your guitar and letting your hands speak about what your heart is going through. You may be surprised by what they tell you and by how much they help you to overcome.
@FDATobacco Just imagine if the FDA wasn't constantly gaslighting adult smokers.
FDA: "You can quit if you get help."
Smoker: Finds help at their local vape shop
FDA: "We're just going to go ahead and shut this down."
Smoker: ...
FDA: "You can quit if you get help."
@ChaunceyGardner@HoustonHealth Perhaps they're trying to say that some LGB smokers are more intelligent than straight ones. They're just opting for the most idiotic way of saying it.
@IHSAA1 You'd never drink embalming fluid, right? So why would you be around anyone that's breathing? Formaldehyde is a chemical found in embalming fluid. It's also found in exhaled air from humans. Hold your breath as you share this so you, too, can help end the breathing epidemic.

Yes, your children are breaking the law if they are vaping. Please stop acting like it's everyone else's fault.
@US_FDA@DrWoodcockFDA Also the @US_FDA: "Then, we'll show up to your small business location to try to entrap you into making samples of products we've denied so we can make congress believe we're doing our best impression of Barney Fife."
@US_FDA@DrWoodcockFDA The @US_FDA: "We rely on science..."
"We also expect you to consult a crystal ball for guidance on which studies we will require for applications AFTER we told you that you likely didn't need it prior to the deadline to submit those applications..."

@IHSAA1 Assuming that these kids aren't breaking the law to obtain these products is, in actuality, #TheVapeMistake.
By your logic, I guess we should assume that EVs (electric vehicles) pollute the same as combustion-powered vehicles because "vehicle" is in the name?
@DickDurbin The FDA has deemed these products appropriate for the protection of public health, Senator.
Wouldn't you agree that the actual "grave mistake" would be to withhold these products from adult smokers that have failed to quit using other methods?
Reminder: These are 21+ products.
@lmstroud89 Thailand: "Sure, we know e-cigarettes are used as a way to help to quit smoking but they're still illegal here so... please buy cigarettes instead when you visit us..."
@ORDOJ @US_FDA Respectfully, a couple inaccuracies:
1. The Vuse Solo isn't that popular with adults, even less so for kids.
2. Kid-friendly implies that kids can buy them legally. They can't.
True, vaping isn't the safest way to quit but how often do the safest quit methods actually work?
@SenatorDurbin Senator, these products often come in flavors other than tobacco because these flavors appeal to all. It's the same reason there's no "tobacco" flavored nicotine gum.
Also, please define "young Americans". The last time I checked, you had to be 21+ to purchase these products.
