Have you ever had a home or auto policy declined, cancelled, or not renewed without any explanation by an insurer in Texas?
That now changes with HB 2067.
The law is now in effect.
It requires insurers to put in writing as to why they denied, cancelled or didn’t renew your policy.
It gives you a chance to fix the issues with your home or car — and to keep them insurable.
“People resorting to payday loans solve a problem today, but the loans make things worse in the future,” Baddour said. "These are loans that are set up for failure."
Payday loans are predatory and disproportionately hurt communities of color. Texas needs to regulate them.
