We just wrapped up the tour of the "Black Gold" Barndominium, and this fireplace is the absolute star of the show! 🌟

🧱 Modular Mastery: It’s engineered like a high-end Lego set—stacked and blocked for a perfect, safe fit.

We added extra height to the firebox for that custom look, and a huge thank you to Acme Brick for providing the materials and the expert installation. We’re running the stone all the way to the vaulted ceiling to anchor this entire home.

We are officially breaking ground on a massive new project today. The site work has begun, and the dirt is already rolling in! 🚛

Here is the Day 1 game plan:

📍 Staking it out: Setting my four benchmarks so the crew knows exactly where to drop the fill.

🌳 Site Prep: Got one tree in the middle of the house pad that’s coming out tomorrow.

🧪 The Science: We ran a soil test (PVR of 2.5) and sent the report to our engineers.

🏗️ The Foundation: This will be a massive post-tension system designed specifically for this site’s soil.

I’m glad to be starting this one as the Texas heat finally starts to break—it’s going to be a great pour in the cooler weather! ❄️🔨
